Why Choose AMS?

Our Story...

Almost for 20 years working in a project and company creating one of the largest and most modern facilities in Europe, taught us valuable lessons in all aspects around Maintenance.

 

Starting from nothing, we have created among other things:

  • A program to plan, prepare, perform, and document required equipment and system preservation (due to long-lasting project delays),

  • A risk informed preventive maintenance program for approximately 150.000 Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, and Civil components in about 400 different systems, installed in roughly 2.600 rooms,

  • A system to track, evaluate and assess maintenance works required by regulation for dedicated plant modes and project milestones,

  • A system to manage all aspects regarding Maintainability, Walk Downs, and Customer Handover,

  • A system, database and process for planning and preparing maintenance works,

  • A system to identify, record, request, and order required spare parts and consumables,

  • A system to document, report, and archive the performed works,

  • A system to schedule and prepare, and coordinate all works (work management system).

It was tough and challenging, but also rewarding when you see the ideas getting realized and the hard work paying off.

​

Reflecting on the achieved at the end of the project, it would have been of course desirable to have that level of experience at the beginning of the journey. Many magnificent people with great expertise in their field supported the mission, but still lacking mostly one thing. Lacking the know-how to connect the big picture through all different phases and organizations.

 

If you want to be most effective, it is crucial to know what you'll need in the END, already at the START.

 

When you set up tools, create processes and procedures, you need to consider the final products and targets. Admittedly, it gets more and more complicated to coordinate and agree on common goals and deliverables, the more organizations or parties are involved. Mostly good and clear communication is required to succeed here.

Recognizing the structures of medium- and large-sized companies where it is not easy to become an all-around expert, as organizations are separated, and typical careers are following the path of one, or exceptional a few, organization only. Engineering in all its specific disciplines, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Maintenance, Operation. Experts in their fields, but still separated by different targets which define their "products" (outputs).

Our Mission...

One of the advantages of working with AMS is that we are experienced in all the various topics and departments surrounding the field of maintenance. From the detail design works in Engineering, through the requirements in Construction, Commissioning, and Procurement up to the needed information during the Operation and Maintenance phases.

Knowing that most resources on our planet as well as our very personal resource, our time, are limited and thus of immense value. We made it our mission to help utilizing these values with utmost care and in the most efficient manner.
